BUČEVIĆ, Anton (Lovran, 1949. – 2025.) boćar, trener, boćarski sudac i sportski djelatnik.
Punim imenom Anton, a svima poznat kao Tone, čak 67 godina bio je vezan uz
sport. U mladosti je trenirao nogomet, a nakon što se trajno nastanio u
Lovranu, u potpunosti se posvetio boćanju. Više od tri desetljeća djelovao je u
Boćarskom klubu „Lovran", gdje je kroz vrijeme obnašao brojne uloge – od igrača
i trenera do predsjednika kluba u dva mandata.
Vrlo brzo postaje prvotimac lovranskog kluba, a 2003. godine
osvaja naslov prvaka Primorsko-goranske županije. Među njegovim uspjesima
ističu se i 5. mjesto na pojedinačnom prvenstvu Hrvatske, višestruki naslovi
prvaka Liburnije te dugogodišnji nastupi u najvišem rangu hrvatske boćarske
lige kao standardni igrač Boćarskog kluba „Lovran". Od 2008. službeno preuzima
i trenersku ulogu u kategorijama juniora i seniora te vodi školu boćanja iz
koje je potekao niz vrlo uspješnih mladih boćara. Tone je ostavio dubok i
trajan trag kako u klubu, tako i u sportskom životu Lovrana i
Primorsko-goranske županije. Također, bio je dugogodišnji boćarski sudac.
Bio je član Izvršnog odbora Zajednice sportskih udruga
Općine Lovran, iznimno aktivan u Boćarskom savezu Primorsko-goranske županije i
dobitnik brojnih priznanja, među kojima i Nagrade za životno djelo u području
sporta koju su mu dodijelili Općina Lovran i Boćarski savez PGŽ-a. Važnu ulogu
imao je i u uređenju te nadogradnji današnje boćarske dvorane u Lignju.
Poznat po nesebičnosti, predanosti i velikom srcu, bio je
oslonac mnogim generacijama boćara, ali i kolegama, prijateljima i suigračima.
Posebno se istaknuo u radu s mladima i razvoju boćanja na lokalnoj razini.
Unatoč teškim zdravstvenim izazovima, nikada nije odustajao. Nakon ozbiljnih operacija uvijek se vraćao – terenu, ljudima i sportu koji je volio. Ostat će zapamćen kao čovjek sporta, posvećen zajednici, i kao netko tko je boćanje živio do posljednjeg dana.

BUČEVIĆ, Anton (Lovran, 1949 – 2025), bocce player, coach, referee, and sports official.
Bearing the
full name Anton, but known to everyone as Tone, he was connected to sports for
as many as 67 years. In his youth he trained in football, and after permanently
settling in Lovran, he dedicated himself entirely to bocce. For more than three
decades he was active in the "Lovran” Bocce Club, where over time he held
numerous roles – from player and coach to club president for two terms.
He quickly
became a first-team member of the club "Lovran”, and in 2003 he won the title
of champion of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. Among his achievements are a
5th-place finish at the Croatian Individual Championship, multiple Liburnija
championship titles, and many years of competing in the highest tier of the
Croatian bocce league as a regular player of the "Lovran” Bocce Club. From 2008
he officially took on the coaching role in both junior and senior categories,
and led the bocce school from which many highly successful young players
emerged. Tone left a deep and lasting mark both in the club and in the sporting
life of Lovran and the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. He was also a long-time
bocce referee.
He was a
member of the Executive Board of the Association of Sports Clubs of the
Municipality of Lovran, exceptionally active in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar
County Bocce Federation, and the recipient of numerous awards, including the
Lifetime Achievement Award in the field of sports, presented by the
Municipality of Lovran and the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County Bocce
Federation. He also played an
important role in the development and upgrading of today’s bocce hall in
Liganj.
Known for
his selflessness, dedication, and great heart, he was a pillar of support for
many generations of bocce players, as well as colleagues, friends, and
teammates. He was especially distinguished in his work with young people and in
developing bocce at the local level.
Despite serious health challenges, he never gave up. After major surgeries, he always returned – to the court, to the people, and to the sport he loved. He will be remembered as a man of sport, devoted to his community, and as someone who lived bocce until his very last day.
